// what Hackerblock is

Hackerblock is a personal development studio. It is not a company with offices or a large team: it is a space where all the projects I develop converge, from games to mathematical tools, including infrastructure services.

The name has two parts. Hacker comes from the world of programming, understood as the curiosity to understand and manipulate systems, and also from my username, Hackerjosep4. Block comes from Minecraft: originally Hackerblock was meant to be a Minecraft server, and the name stuck from that idea.

// what we work with

Technologies I regularly use in my projects.

Infrastructure Nginx, Cloudflare, Docker, PHP-FPM, MySQL. My own cluster with four nodes.
Development PHP, Python, C++, JavaScript. From the backend to automation tools.
Services Pterodactyl, AzuraCast, Minecraft servers and radio stations.

// philosophy

I believe in software that can be understood, modified and maintained. I prefer simple, well-made solutions over complicated architectures that nobody dares to touch.

Every project in this studio shares the same idea: doing things well, with care for the details and without depending on more things than necessary.

// how long we have been around

It all started on 30 December 2022, at 15:00 sharp, when the first Hackerblock server was turned on for the very first time. And it did so with a graphical interface, because back then I still did not know how to use the console. It was pure hobby and a lot of eagerness to try things, but that moment changed everything.

Since then, every 30 December we do not just celebrate an anniversary: we celebrate everything we have learned, everything we have broken and fixed again, and all the nights we have spent in front of a terminal until something finally worked.

We have been here for 3 years now, building without haste but without pause. And if there is one thing we are sure of, it is that this has only just begun.
